Director of Education and Program Development
 
efi Sports Medicine, maker of Total Gym® and GRAVITY SYSTEM®, is a worldwide product leader in the fitness, rehabilitation and health promotion markets. Our brands include equipment, training and programming for home and commercial facilities.
 
We are currently seeking a Director of Education and Program Development to join our high-energy and dynamic team. The right person for this position will be an industry professional who has both ties to the industry’s trainer base as well as high level business relationships. The ideal candidate is outgoing personable, genuine and already well-respected industry wide for leadership, creativity, knowledge, work ethic, results and ingenuity. In addition to taking the lead in creating and developing ongoing training for consumer customers, the successful candidate will oversee our Commercial Fitness and Rehab education and training efforts. While working with other members of the efi team, energies will be directed toward:
  • Growing efi’s GRAVITYMaster Trainer base.
  • Nurturing industry relationships to create loyalty and build brand culture
  • Directing a team for efi’s education and ongoing training modules
  • Program Management training for efi customers
  • Developing tailored programs for various market segments, i.e. Rehab, Wellness, Specialty Retail, Vertical Markets, etc.
  • Support Sales efforts, i.e., on sales calls, at conventions, trade shows, etc.
  • Overall planning and execution of all DVD and online deliverables for Education/GRAVITYClubhouse/selection of cast, scheduling, development of material, selection of content provider, negotiations, location selection, themes, etc. 
  • Recruiting and managing content providers.
 
Requirements:
  • Our ideal candidate will be well matched for the fitness-industry; a "go-getter" with 6+ years of experience in developing fitness programs in a club, gym or medical fitness setting.   BA/BS, in Marketing, Business Management, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Personal Trainer Certification(s) a plus
  • The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter with the demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of at least 3 individuals.
  • Strong public speaking skills and excellent stage presence are strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive high quality fitness education programs through development process on aggressive timelines and land within budget.
